CHARLES JEFFERY LOVERBOY AW19 - LFWM

Charles Jeffery Loverboy unveiled his Autumn/Winter 2018 collection during London Fashion Week Men's.

Inspired the story of Peter Pan, Charles Jeffrey created a jarring Neverland in a cold, dark church. It was what can only be described as a neglected boudoir, full of demonic fairies; an effective backdrop for the collection that often mirrored 1920s glitz and glamour.

The fitted suit made a colourful comeback as well as full length coats, slim fitting trousers and kilts. Amongst this traditional tailoring were nods to modern tastes, such as colourful fleeces with playful animal ears on the hood and oversized jumpers. Linking all the looks together was the Loverboy blue, red and black tartan. Jeffrey’s ‘Darling Little Sillies’ danced and skipped in this man-made utopia as his collection looked back to a time where modern concerns are light years away. Everyone left reality outside the church door.
