MEET MILO MAX

British and considering his self a ‘Londoner’ however his mother was born in Brazil and is also Malaysian/ German and his father is half Italian.

I would define my style as a juxtaposition of high end design-wear with street brands/ vintage clothing and my own designs. I don’t like to spend a lot of money on clothes so most of mine are second hand or given to me as gifts. The skill is in looking cool, not how much you spent on your outfit.

My inspiration come from a culmination of different things; I think as a young creative you see possibilities in everything. Art, Music and Fashion have always been my creative outlets so I am usually inspired by an artwork, design or exhibition, a song, film or photograph.

My strengths: I think I have a good work ethic. I like to be productive and have something to show at the end of a day, whether this is a song, a t-shirt or a painting. I also love collaboration - I like to work with other people in a team and I believe I’m good at organizing meetings/ get-togethers. I'm friendly, not too serious and professional.

My weaknesses: Sometimes I can be a bit bossy or get annoyed at people if they aren’t pulling their weight. I don’t have a very long attention span and don’t tend to feel sympathy for anyone... ever!

My brand: Since leaving Central Saint Martins with a degree in Fine Art it has been difficult to find a creative job which allows me to do what I want without selling my soul. I tried working in sales positions, art dealing, gallery assisting and more, but I decided I wanted to do my own thing. In November I will be launching my website; www.milomax.co.uk where I will be selling all original artworks (oil, watercolor, QR Code Paintings and more), prints, t-shirts with wearable art, skateboard decks, totes and more. In December, I will throw an exhibition with my event partner Michael Taiwo. The private view will be a night of creative collaboration, live music and interactive art.
