ONES TO WATCH

This young label is making big waves. With his unique fusion of smart tailoring and Japanese sportwear, Louis Gabriel Nouchi has carved himself a niche that both celebrates and challenges classical dressing as well as gender-specific dressing.

His SS19 collection saw classic pieces like tailored blazers and oversized shirts paired with leggings or loose jogging shorts and brogues. Although the palette stuck to understated colours like black, white and neutral hues, it didn’t fail to pack a punch. The suits were traditional in colour and cut, but the male models showcasing dresses and flowery kimonos remind you that the collection is a statement on the gender divide too. Plus, the denimwear and casual wear gave the collection enough urban edge to keep it rooted in current streetwear trends.

LGN perfectly strikes the balance between being contemporary and subversive without shoving it down your throat and focuses on the very best part of being a modern man.
